Parag Desai, who served as the executive director of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group, tragically passed away in a Gujarat hospital on Monday. His unfortunate demise was a result of a severe head injury sustained in a fall on October 15. Here’s a summary of the incident:
At the age of 50, Desai experienced a grave brain hemorrhage due to a head injury. This incident occurred just outside his residence on October 15.
While taking a walk near his home, he encountered stray dogs. In an attempt to ward them off, he fell to the ground.
The impact led to an immediate brain hemorrhage, causing him to lose consciousness.
Desai was quickly transported to a private hospital and subsequently underwent a critical brain surgery, as reported by PTI.
He was closely monitored, but regrettably, he passed away on Sunday at 7 pm.
Parag Desai, the son of Rajesh Desai, held the position of executive director on the company’s board. With an MBA degree from America’s Long Island University, he played a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s financial performance.
The Wagh Bakri Tea Group’s annual turnover amounts to ₹2000 crore.
A close source within the Desai family shared, “Desai fell and suffered a brain hemorrhage and fainted. He was immediately shifted to a private hospital, and from there to another hospital where he underwent brain surgery,” according to PTI.
