At the RSS’s annual Vijay Dashami event in Nagpur, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed concerns regarding the influence of what he referred to as “cultural Marxists” in the realms of media and academia.

Mohan Bhagwat described “cultural Marxism” as a collection of forces that he characterized as “selfish, discriminatory, and deceitful.” He suggested that these forces seek to promote “sectarian interests” by assuming control of the media and academia, which, in turn, leads to confusion, chaos, and corruption within the nation.

During the Vijay Dashami event, Bhagwat noted that these “destructive forces” often identify as “woke” and claim to be working towards lofty goals. However, he asserted that their true objectives involve disrupting social order on a global scale.

Bhagwat stressed that India’s primary purpose has always been to contribute to the welfare of the world, but these “selfish, discriminatory, and deceitful” forces use various disguises, such as “cultural Marxists” or “Woke,” to conceal their genuine intentions.

He also asserted that cultural Marxists promote anarchy and indiscretion.

“Their modus operandi includes taking control of the media and academia, leading to confusion, chaos, and corruption in education, culture, politics, and the social environment,” Bhagwat added.

In his annual address, Bhagwat raised concerns about the recent outbreak of violence in Manipur and questioned the vested interests behind disturbing the peaceful atmosphere. He called for an examination of the forces attempting to incite hatred and violence following positive steps towards peace.

Bhagwat emphasized three crucial elements essential for national integration: devotion to the motherland, pride in forefathers, and the adoption of a common culture. He emphasized that even faiths originating from outside India must adhere to these principles to unify the diverse aspects of the nation, including language, region, religion, sect, caste, and sub-caste.

Furthermore, Bhagwat announced that the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22 and called upon the people of the nation to celebrate the event by organizing functions in temples across the country.

Singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan attended the RSS event as the chief guest and expressed his honor and excitement to be part of the Vijayadashami celebration.
