Kamal Nath issued a strong caution to the Niwari district administration, emphasizing that they will face accountability for their actions. In the midst of an election rally, the senior Congress leader, Kamal Nath, urged the officials to take decisive measures while considering the consequences for the next five years. Without specifying the allegations, he warned that no one would be exempted from the repercussions of their deeds.
Addressing the administration of Prithvipur and Niwari, Kamal Nath stressed the importance of their current actions, stating, “Whatever activities you are involved in, pay close attention. In two days, decisions will be made by the people and me. No one will be spared, and there are only six more days. Do what you must, but remember, the next five years are also at stake.”
This is not the first instance of the Congress leader issuing threats to the local administration. In January, the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh cautioned Niwari district officials and police personnel, holding them accountable within eight months. Kamal Nath had then alleged instances of police misconduct and the filing of false cases.
Following the political upheaval in 2020, with Jyotiraditya Scindia and 22 MLAs joining the BJP, Kamal Nath is aiming for a comeback in Madhya Pradesh after the collapse of his previous government. The state is one of five undergoing elections on November 17, with vote counting scheduled for December 3, where voters will elect representatives for 230 Assembly constituencies.
